Each Other’s Air
It was electric when we touched lips, not even kissing, just breathing in each other’s air.
Five years ago, I witnessed an overweight girl being harassed. A group of “popular girls” had pulled down her pants while we were leaving school. The girl grabbed her pants and ran away crying. Our school’s star quarterback chased after her to comfort her.
I just came back from their wedding. GMH.
Today I brought my boyfriend home for the first time.
My former boyfriends have felt uncomfortable around my sister, Katie, who has Down Syndrome.
When Katie met my boyfriend, she hugged him and said “I love you already.” What did my boyfriend do? He said “I love you too. Sorry, Auden, but she’s stolen my heart.”
